I was just looking back at watercolour and ink drawings in the Adelaide Hills and was struck by the image being about the spaces between branches, as a tracery and about curved marks.

Eclair posing

We had a black longhair cat, Eclair.  These are drawings of him from a few years ago.  the first is ink and pastel, the next pen and ink and the last ink and wash.  All done around the same time.
