I later refinished the featured image on facebook- the technique is papier colle and I am using it a lot at present. I arrive there through reading about cubist works on paper.

The image of Admiral Colin, done in 2010, had been hung in direct sunlight and faded as a consequence. I was asked to retouch it and did with the result shown below:
A few years ago we went to Tasmania near xmas and I drew this image, which I recently gave to a friend as a wedding gift.
I like the fracturing of the colour field along the lines of the masts as an abstract set of forms.
